Great essay and review of the situation and election. Lived in Floriduh for way too long and was always dismayed that the people continuously voted against their own best interest. Basically became a total red state for 25 years, leaning into the Confederacy “heritage” (yes lots of rebel flags and hate) , with every issue created by republicans, yet still voting them in. Amazing acts of group cognitive dissonance….
